Call for Nominations: PCPI Technical Advisory Panel (TEP) on Unintended Consequences of Quality Measure Development

Under the direction of PCPI’s Measure Advisory Committee, the PCPI is initiating a new methodology project related to the unintended consequences of performance measurement.

To carry out this work, the PCPI is soliciting nominations for subject matter experts to serve on a multidisciplinary workgroup to advance the understanding of unintended consequences in the development of clinical quality measures and offer solutions to address them. The workgroup will focus on the identification and prevention of unintended consequences in quality measure development at the provider-level across clinical areas and cumulate their efforts into a final product such as a white paper or toolkit that will be put forth for public comment, revision, and dissemination.

We anticipate a committed workgroup member would participate on 5-6 conference calls throughout one year. Details will be provided to workgroup members upon confirmation.

Please complete the PCPI TEP nomination form and/or the TEP application form (for applicants) and submit the required materials via email to Courtney Hurt, MSW, LCSW, Project Manager, Measure Development, at no later than Friday, December 15, 2017.
