In lieu of the PCPI’s measurement science team’s September office hours, please join us instead on October 19th from 12-1pm central time to hear how the following experts in hospice and palliative care came together to identify measures that matter.  An overview of the “Measuring What Matters” initiative will serve as a precursor to the PCPI’s fall meeting panel session on meaningful measurement during which various groups will describe how they have determined what matters to their constituency and how they are going about addressing those gaps in measurement.

Speakers include:
  • Katherine Ast, MSW, LCSW, Director, Quality and Research, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM)
  • Arif Kamal, MD, MBA, MHS, FACP, FAAHPM, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Business Administration, Duke University
  • Lisa Lindley, PhD, RN, Associate Professor, The University of Tennessee
  • Marianne Matzo, PhD APRN-CNP FPCN FAAN, Director of Research, Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA)
A moderated Q&A and discussion period will follow the October 19th webinar.
