NQRN QCDR Co-Chair Call for Nominations

Co-Chair Requirements and Application Process

The QCDR Work Group has two co-chairs, one of which serves on the NQRN Advisory Committee and is required to report to the AC on a quarterly basis or as NQRN Advisory Committee meetings/calls are held.  The QCDR Work Group co-chair leads and facilitates monthly QCDR Work Group meetings and serves as a resource to PCPI on matters that concern QCDRs.  The co-chair is required to participate in monthly work group phone calls and participate in monthly agenda-setting activities, which are generally conducted via email.

Co-Chair terms are for two-years with the opportunity to serve two consecutive terms.

In-person meetings generally occur annually at the PCPI Annual Meeting, and the co-chair should participate in the NQRN Advisory Committee meeting in addition to chairing his/her own work group meeting if held.  Travel to in-person meetings are not reimbursed by the PCPI.  No other payment, stipend or honorarium is paid for participation in the work group.

Nominees may self-nominate.  While it is preferred that nominees are from the QCDR Work Group, it is not required.  Co-chair nominees should have at a minimum, past QCDR experience. It is preferred that the co-chair currently work within a QCDR, but this is also not required.

Application materials should be submitted between November 29, 2018 and ending Monday, January 7, 2019.  Co-chair nominees will be presented to the NQRN Advisory Committee Chairs for review and decision.  The co-chair will be informed of his or her status in January 2019.

If you have any questions about co-chairing a work group, please email

Individual Responsibilities and Statement of Willingness to Serve

All member organization representatives (nominees) must read and sign the following list of Individual Responsibilities and the Statement of Willingness to Serve.  Member organizations are responsible for sharing the list of Individual Responsibilities and Statement of Willingness to Serve with their nominee.

Work Group Co-Chair Individual Responsibilities

  • Attend regular meetings of the Work Group and Advisory Committee.  Be accessible to committee colleagues and PCPI staff for phone/email consultation.
  • Prepare in advance for decision-making at committee meetings; take responsibility for self-education on the issues before the committee.
  • Willingly offer personal and professional skills, relationships, and knowledge for the advancement of PCPI

Statement of Willingness to Serve

I agree to serve if I am selected as co-chair.  I am a member of a PCPI member organization in good standing.  I have read this description and the Individual Responsibilities of the Work Group co-chair. I understand the responsibilities and the time commitment required of me.  I am aware that this statement of general responsibilities is an expression of good faith and provides a common ground upon which PCPI can operate.
