Opportunities to Engage

Join an NQRN Work Group

We have several opportunities for you to get involved. This week we are featuring our newest work group, the NQRN Research Work Group.

The NQRN Research Work Group explores the endpoints of clinical registry data and seeks to identify opportunities for registries to become more involved in both research and quality improvement. The Research Work Group serves as a place to share best practices in registry research programs while also focusing on creating continuity between PCPI’s registry and quality improvement pillars. Our work includes creating webinars and educational content such as our recent webinar on Research in Registries.

We are looking for talented individuals who have a passion for sharing their experiences and bringing their research and quality improvement expertise to the registry community at large. For more information or if you would like to join, please contact , Program Manager, Registry Programs. We look forward to hearing your voice!

PCPI in the Field

Inaugural Joint HSPC/CIIC Meeting

Marjorie Rallins, VP and Chief Scientific Officer and Chrystal Price, Registry Programs Program Manager represented the PCPI Foundation at the 17th General Meeting of the Health Services Platform Consortium (HSPC), Joint with the Clinical Interoperability Information Council (CIIC), held from July 30-August 1, 2018 at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

The Joint HSPC/CIIC meeting was the first of its kind, announcing the merger of both groups and paving the road to a unified organization. The meeting featured keynote addresses from Patti Brennan, PhD, RN Director of the National Library of Medicine as well as Alexandra Mugge, Deputy Director, Division of Health Information Technology at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

While this was primarily a working meeting, it offered an opportunity for clinicians, healthcare information modelers, and terminologists to learn and share the latest work in clinical interoperability.
