PCPI member organization National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has been awarded with a $150,000 grant for their proposal of a quality measure that improves the lives of older adults. This grant also provides access to PCPI member organization OptumLabs’ unique dataset to develop innovative health quality measures that address key gaps in care for older Americans.
NKF, in collaboration with PCPI, AMGA, National Committee for Quality Assurance, and the University of California San Francisco, introduced a performance measure to evaluate kidney health in adults with diabetes mellitus (DM). This important measure will benefit older adults, as they have a higher likelihood of developing DM and CKD. The measure will help enhance testing, identification, and evidence-based care for a population with a higher likelihood of developing DM and CKD.
