The American College of Radiology (ACR) is gathering feedback through June 2020 from patients, physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical and administrative staff for their “Closing the Results Follow-Up Loop” Stakeholder Series. Survey results will benefit two initiatives intended to improve radiologic-recommended follow-up care for incidental findings discovered through imaging exams.

The initiatives include ACR’s Closing the Results Follow-Up Loop Measure Development Project supported by an award from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Diagnostic Excellence Initiative. Under the grant, ACR convened a multi-stakeholder technical expert panel (TEP) to develop quality measures to improve adherence to evidence-based follow-up recommendations for incidentally detected imaging findings. Survey results will also contribute to the development of a care coordination white paper — a collaboration between ACR and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) on the follow up of incidental imaging findings in the emergency department setting.

Thank you for supporting this work to increase the number of patients who benefit from the early detection of cancer or other treatable conditions by completing the survey and distributing it broadly to others within your organization or professional network.
