PCPI Call for Abstracts

PCPI invites members of the healthcare community to submit abstracts for presentation for our ongoing webinar series.

Let your research make its mark – this is an opportunity to share your work in health and healthcare quality with a diverse group of stakeholders.


Abstracts for our webinar series may have a wide range of topics as related to measurement, registries and data, and quality improvement. Some category examples are listed below: 

  • Population Health
  • Patient-Centered Care
  • Utilizing Registry Data for Quality Improvement
  • Utilizing Registry Data for Research

Abstract Requirements

Participants at all career stages are encouraged to submit one or more abstracts for consideration.

Abstracts are limited to approximately 500 words.  The submission form includes:

  • Authors/presenters and professional affiliation/organization of each
  • Title of project
  • Background:  Objective and problem that is addressed by the project or study. It should include what is known and what is not known. 
  • Methods: Design and Analysis
  • Results: Key findings
  • Conclusions: Main, generalizable message
  • Implications: Potential uses of the findings of the project for science, policy, programs, public or provider education
  • In addition, all submitters, presenters, authors and co-authors are required to submit a disclosure form if the abstract is accepted.
  • Presenters may not use their conference presentation to market products or services and should use product-based or generic names wherever possible.
  • All abstracts accepted for presentation will be posted in the conference app, in conference communications, and on our website.

Abstract submission and review process

To submit an abstract, please fill out the Abstract Submission form below.  Emailed, mailed or faxed submissions will not be accepted. Abstracts for webinars will be accepted on a rolling basis. Abstracts will be reviewed by their respective PCPI Advisory Committees for inclusion in PCPI programming and acceptance will be based on content and overall program balance.

Criteria for evaluation of abstracts are as follows:

  • All sections of the abstract are fully completed and address the question posed
  • Objectives of the study or project need to be clearly stated
  • Results/outcomes are described and are relevant to the professional practice of either healthcare or healthcare quality
  • The proposed presentation will contribute to achieving the overall PCPI goals
  • The topic is relevant to either conference focus areas or PCPI goals overall

Webinar abstracts will be approved or denied within a month of submission.
